Duke Street Market is a well known food market based in Liverpool.
When they opened up not too long ago we were excited to find out that they would be using our lighting as part of their major building project. They decided to use our Supersized Coolicon Pendant Lights in the shade ‘Ivory.’ The long stretch of flex really works well to create an aesthetically pleasing statement piece in the centre of the food market.
Most of the features in the food market have a dark theme with the dark wood and dark signs etc. however they have added an aspect of brightness to the room with the icy white counters and of course the white light shades along with a white ceiling to help reflect as much natural light as possible.
The range of different wood textures work really well together, adding more interest and warmth to the room and also helping to tie everything together, creating an inviting atmosphere.
The Duke Street Market in Liverpool has a range of different kitchens to choose from, including a plant based and vegan restaurant known as ‘Indigo Green.’ A Cuban street food kitchen called ‘Finca,’ an Asian bowl kitchen known as ‘Ginger,’ an ‘anything you could want to eat that’s red meat’ can be found at ‘Bone and Block,’ an open fire kitchen called ‘Cinder,’ then finally a family run Italian restaurant called ‘Cucina di Venceneo.’
Our Coolicon Lights not only work for kitchens and different rooms around the home, they also look great in our supersized dimensions for bigger projects such as this large open food market to add to the industrial vibe.
